Update...

Have a couple of venues... considering bringing us in to do two shows, sometime around Veterans Day in November of this year!

Also... looking at two more performances coming up in January 2025.

With the success... of the four debut performances we did in April, in partnership with Clark County Library System; the show has created a buzz in the Las Vegas Veteran community. Other organizations are showing interest as well.

With all that happening, NOW I GET IT is starting to take on a life of it's own. And that's requiring us to kick things up a notch... and believe me, we're okay with that!

For starters... as of last week; we'll have two new talented actors, taking on the roles of PEGGY KETTLEMAN - wife of Vietnam veteran, DON KETTLEMAN.

AND... Michael Thomas will FINALLY be replacing me in the role of Vietnam veteran, BRENT MACKLIN.

MARY BETH ZENTNER... takes on what becomes the central character in NOW I GET IT, Peggy Kettleman.

Because being a military wife is very much a "you had to be there" experience, she is perfect.

With a father that was career military, and being a former military wife, the only thing missing from her resume is a DD214... if you've been in the service, you get that.

Speaking of resume... BEST SUPPORTING Actress, in Las Vegas Valley Théâtre's production of MARY POPPINS.

Nominated BEST ACTOR in a Musical, SUPER SUMMER THEATRE...YES, the list goes on. And if that's not enough, she is currently the Artistic Director for Signature Productions, in Las Vegas. Let me put it another way... when she read for the part... after the first three sentences she read, and only three bars of the music she auditioned with, EVERYBODY in the room knew we had found our Peggy Kettleman.

MICHAEL THOMAS... of the four or five actors that have read for the role of BRENT MACKLIN, over the last two years. He's the guy who nailed it right from the git-go.

Thanks to Michael, I don't have to be in my own show anymore. Now I can actually direct!

With a resume every bit as extensive as Mary Beth's, AND... 10 years singing with Gladys Knights', All Saints Choir, again... we knew we found our Brent.

What else?

Glad you asked...

In January 2025, our musical instrumentation will graduate from just a piano, to a trio - piano, bass, and drums.

After conversations with our music composer, A. Patrick Rose; he and I agreed that it was time.

Keep checking the blog for other things we are planning for NOW I GET IT.

Yes, there is more... just don't want to jinx anything by saying anything before it's really real.

Thanks for reading my blog!

Loren
